Some of our new members had a great suggestion: How about some help buying shoes and a harness. So that's what this meetup is about. REI staff is going to explain how to pick a pair of climbing shoes and a harness, and the Fairfax REI location has a climbing pinnacle that you can try them out on. There is obviously no obligation to make a purchase.

If people are interested, we can head out for dinner/drinks afterwards.
