Sheep Pass Group Site #6 reserved for Friday and Saturday nights... Details to follow.

Dec 1, 2009 Update:
Alright gang, we're a week and a half away. Are you all excited yet? I am!

Sheep Pass Group Site #6 is limited to 30 people and 8 cars. That rounds out to about 4 people per car. While it's possible to shuttle cars, it's also a pain so please try to arrange carpools.

Saturday night, we'll do the usual pot-luck dinner, so participate if you like.

Winter in JTree can be really cold. Extreme winds are almost guaranteed and snow isn't out of the realm of possibility. Come prepared.

And please update your RSVP if you do NOT plan on going so we can allow some of the Waiting List folks to work their way onto the RSVP list.

Thanks... ~Adam~ "The Master Beta"

===Big O Update===
We also have site #4 now! So we should have tons of room for everyone who wants to go. Please still try to coordinate carpools though as there is still a very limited number of parking spaces available to us even with the new site.

Since it was so well received the last two years we will be doing the WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT EXCHANGE again!!! The rules are simple. If you wish to participate all you need do is bring one wrapped gift of no more then $25 in value. It can be less but it cannot be more then $25. Can't wait to see what is offered up this year!

Here's the current forecast at 4,500' in the park...

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of light rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 37. South southwest wind around 10 mph.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. South southwest wind between 10 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. Breezy, with a south southwest wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 51. Breezy, with a west southwest wind between 11 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Sunday Night: A 10 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy and breezy, with a low around 36.

It's definitely going to be cold (but not quite cold enough to snow) so dress warm. Fortunately the winds don't look too crazy. I'll be bringing a crash pad to boulder if it's too cold to rope climb. Hope at least some of you are still willing to go.

Saturday I'm thinking of checking out the Cathouse in the Lost Horse area which has lots of easy & moderate routes and should be somewhat sheltered from the wind. If it's ridiculously cold, we may head down to Indian Cove and try the Corral Wall.

I'll roll in around 10pm tonight. Not sure where I'll climb Sat. Maybe Outback? Maybe Indian Cove if it's super cold?

I climbed on AFPA Wall and Mindless Mound last weekend. They were both sunny (if you guys see any sun) and had good quality moderates (7-9). Enjoy!

I am seriously on the fence about this one. While I really want to climb I'm not so crazy about the weather conditions. I might go out and I might not. Decisions decisions!

Yah, it doesn't look so nice. I'm planning on going anyway and will be bringing a crash pad to boulder if it's too cold. On the bright side, the winds don't look too strong so it may be possible to climb some. Bring your warm clothes!
