Welcome to the New York Mountaineering Club! Mountaineering is an ultimate endurance sport.  The aim of this club is to bring together people with interest in hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing, ice climbing etc and improve the fitness of the group.  We plan on hosting events all around the country. Be a part of the group and take your aims higher!

Hiking! Rollerblading! Snorkeling! Camping! Climbing! Get together with other adventurous spirits and try out an activity you might or might not have considered. Some activities may require certain skills or equipment, and some may PROVIDE the equipment, but there's a good mix. Expect some coffee/brunch/picnics along the way too. If you're finding yourself stuck in front of your keyboard and screen fear no more!  Come meet friendly other local people who like to get outside, and be inspired!

Do you love to ski, snowboard, hike? Want to try out rock climbing or maybe ice climbing? Want to try a cross country ski race for the first time...or maybe telemark down a virgin path. Ever thought about kayaking down the black river rapids? Or maybe fishing for Salmon and hunting is your thing. This is a group for those that love adventure from skiing to mountain climbing to hunting whitetail deer...this group is dedicated to it all.
